FRACP General Paediatrician and Developmental Paediatrician, Clinical Director
Dr. Riju Mittal is a highly experienced Paediatrician with over 24 years of practice in Melbourne, specialising in developmental and behavioural Paediatrics.
Her clinical focus includes autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delay, and complex learning and behavioural presentations. She is known for her clear, comprehensive assessments and a thoughtful, individualised approach to care, with particular expertise in autism evaluations using evidence-based standardised tools.
Dr. Mittal holds dual FRACP qualifications in General Paediatrics and Community Child Health. Her practice is grounded in current evidence and best practice, and she is an active member of the Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics, the Australian ADHD Professionals Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Mittal is also a Clinical Director of Western Children’s Health Centre, a leading multidisciplinary paediatric practice in Melbourne and plays a central role in mentoring medical doctors and allied health teams. She has also been actively involved in training GPs in shared care ADHD management to improve access to care within the community.
She has worked across most major Melbourne health services including Western Health, The Royal Children’s Hospital, Austin Health, Monash Health, and Werribee Mercy Hospital. Dr. Mittal is an approved supervisor of advanced paediatric trainees and serves on the RACP Overseas Trained Physicians Subcommittee.
